Virtual Career Fair slated in March
Clear the Air Foundation is interested in partnering with the Collision Repair Education Foundation on a virtual career fair. It’s planned to include auto tech and collision students at schools throughout Colorado.
The format will be similar to a Zoom call, with small groups of up to five students on the call for 15 minutes at a time. As a participating dealer, you will receive résumés for every participant, so you can follow up after the fair.
Many students are looking for employment in their chosen field, and are graduating in a few months. It's a great chance for you to connect with them — all without leaving your dealership.

Late last week, Colorado Governor Jared Polis introduced a variation of the COVID dial, renamed Dial 2.0. The purpose of reimagining the dial was to make it easier for counties to move up and down between restriction levels and to do so on a seven-day time frame, instead of the 14-day time frame currently in place. This flexibility and local control measure coincides with decreasing numbers and loosening restrictions in many of Colorado’s 64 counties.
While counties will still need approval from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment before officially moving from one level to the next, many counties are on the move from Orange to Yellow. This includes Denver, Broomfield, Boulder, Adams, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Douglas, Park, Teller and El Paso. Pueblo and San Juan counties will move down to Blue, the least restrictive level on the dial. Click here for more info and an interactive map.
As non-critical retailers, there is virtually no impact on dealers. Under all levels of the dial, capacity inside a dealership is 50%. At Orange and Red, there should be increased remote sales and special time set aside for vulnerable populations. However, this will increase the capacity of office buildings, restaurants and other places of public accommodation. This likely signifies an increasing public acceptance and foot traffic in the marketplace in the warmer months to come.
The loosening of restrictions went into effect Saturday morning, February 6. Please contact Matthew Groves with any questions or comments you may have.

Bond tip of the week How to submit salesperson license applications while Auto Industry Division is closed
The Auto Industry Division office is closed to the public. Because no in-person applications are permitted at this time, submit your salesperson license applications through the U.S. Postal Services, FedEx, UPS or Dropbox.
When all required documentation is received, the Auto Industry Division sends a temporary license through the U.S. Postal Service. Once mailed, it can take approximately 3 days.
Important Note: The Auto Industry Division will email the temporary license and receipt if the dealership requests an email confirmation.
